We are working to increase the speed of our dating site a little, it seems that they still are people with slow connections that find it difficult to browse our free dating site. Not so many, most of our visitors have high speed connections, from ADSL and up, however, we don't want to make the website exclusive only to those people.
So, we've eliminated some javascripts, some voting codes, some objects that were not necessarily needed for the site to run properly.
They're also reports that the Google ads are loading too slow, therefore making the site load slow, but there's nothing we can do about this, unfortunately. We did replaced the Google image ads with text ads to improve the speed, but in some sections of the site image ads are required.
Anyway, we're still working on the speed issue and any suggestion is welcome. Is possible that will eliminate the shoutbox from the first page, though that's not exactly slowing the site too much, but we'll try to implement another one, more SEO friendly.
