Video Chat Activated
Very good news for all our members: the audio-video chat has been installed and is already working. It seems to work fine, however we must say here that your audio-video chat experience is depending on your internet connection. So if you have a slow connection, the video might run slow.
Since that just launched and it wasn't tested too much, we'd appreciate if you'll send us all the bugs you might find using the feedback option or writing on the forum. We will do all the testing, of course, but we'll appreciate your help, too.
A "how to" tutorial will be written on the forum with information on how to use the video chat. There's not hard, but we want to make things easier for you. Basically, what should you know now is that you can access the Option - Text to change the language of the chat room; this should help you understand the video chat functionality. Also, one click on the Video Layout will change, obviously, the way how the public videos are shows.
You can make your webcam available in the chat room for all the members online by just clicking on any of the Available video screens, on the Send Audio/Video link. Then click on 1 or 2 to show your webcam to you or click on the camera to close/open the camera and leave the microphone or the other way. One click on the X will close all of them and will free the video spot for other members.
You can also send/receive audio-video communication in the private chat. That's even more simple. Just click on any member in the chat room, in the right list and choose Private Message. Then, in the private message window, click send to send your video or receive to receive your chat partner's video. You should let the other one know when you send them your webcam, since there's no way they'll know it, except that they'll hear you if you have your microphone open.
I'll stop this article here since I want to write a more detailed tutorial on the forum, like I've said.
One more thing you MUST remember since that's a rule: please don't show yourself naked in a public camera, only is the private chat and only if your partner wants you to do this... and, of course, if is your pleasure. And, of course, don't be rude with the other members; we are not recording the audio-video chat, but if someone will send us a print screen with you showing obscene gestures on the chat, you will be banned.
